A Stay & Play package is the perfect way to experience some of the best things River Valley has to offer. If you are wanting to stay at River Valley and try one of our adventure activities then this is the package for you.
With lots of different options to choose from, our Stay & Play package is our most flexible adventure package.

Build Your Own Adventure
Depending on your budget, you can choose between our Deluxe or Bunk packages.
Then, choose your adventure from one of the adventure activities listed below (or even upgrade to a full day horse trek at an extra cost). If you are travelling with a group, not everyone has to choose the same activity – you can mix and match.
This is usually a 1 night package, but if you have the time why not stay longer and try a second activity, or relax after your adventure.

Included in this package is:
- One night in a comfortable deluxe guest room with private bathroom (ensuite). Rooms can be made as a double or twin.
- 3 Course farm to table dinner
- Your choice of any item off our breakfast menu

- Use of our spa facilities
Bunk Package
Included in this package is:
- One night in a bunk room
- 1 Course farm to table dinner

Choose Your Activity
With a Stay and Play package, you can choose from any of the adventure activities below. If you are an experienced rider you can also upgrade to a full day horse ride for an additional charge, just let us know when you book.
Half Day Grade 5 White Water Rafting
Our grade 5, white water rafting trip is often recognised as one of the best half day trips in the world! With 10 major rapids on this 11 km run, plus numerous smaller rapids, there is plenty to get excited about.
Deluxe Package $970 for 2 People (Double or Twin Share)

Bunk Package $390 per Person
Season: All year round
Duration: Half Day
Departs: Trips run at 8.30am year round, and also 12.30pm between October-April.
Restrictions: Minimum age 13 years. Departures are river level dependent – we will not put on if the river is outside our safe operating limits. We need a minimum of 4 paying fares to run this trip.
Full Day Awesome Scenic Rafting Adventure
With over 30 Grade 2 (easy) rapids, amazing scenery and a riverside lunch, the 13 km section of the Rangitikei River downstream from the Lodge is perfect for all ages.

Duration: Full Day
Departs: Briefing held at 9.30am
Restrictions: We need a minimum of 2 adult fares (or 1 adult, 2 children) to run this trip
Burn The Breeze
At last a ride for experienced riders! Now you can get out and have some real horse time fun. This is a half day ride that moves along, exploring longer trails, with lots of opportunity to canter your horse. Experienced riders only.
Deluxe Package $990 for 2 People (Double or Twin Share)
Deluxe Package $620 Single
Bunk Package $410 per Person
Season: 1st November – April 30th
Departs: 9.00am or 1.00pm daily
Ability: Experienced Riders Only
Restrictions: Weight limit 100kg. Minimum age 13 years.
E-Bike the Laughing Moa Trail
Explore the Laughing Moa loop trail, and take in in beautiful rural landscapes on a leisurely day e-bike ride. We pack you a picnic lunch to for you to enjoy on your journey.
Deluxe Package $720 for 2 People (Double or Twin Share)

Bunk Package $270 per Person
Season: All year round
Departs: Flexible start time
Restrictions: We have a range of adult bike sizes, from XS to XL. Our policy is that if you can comfortably fit and control the bike, you can ride it.

The season and operating times for each activity are listed below. When booking a Stay & Play package online you will be asked to state your preferred day and time for your chosen activity. We will do our best to accommodate your preference, however sometimes we may have to make changes due to weather, minimum numbers or other bookings. One of our team will be in touch to confirm the day and time of your activity.
