The EPIC Rangitikei Rafting Trip and how it came to be…

One of our long-term senior raft guides that many of you will know, Derek, came to us with an idea last Summer. Derek is an ‘ideas man’; while he is out on the river he is always thinking about the next ‘big thing’ and how we can be improving as a company.

Derek spends most of his working days rafting the Grade 5 white water section of the Rangitikei River but occasionally also the odd multi day rafting trip as well. When he came to us with the idea of combining the Grade 5 white water rafting into an EPIC multi day rafting trip, we couldn’t believe we hadn’t thought of it before!

Since then we, the “computer nerds” as the raft guides so affectionately term us, have been working on the best way to get this raft trip up and running. So, hats off to you Derek, you river legend.
