Meeting Room Hire
We have 2 meeting rooms available for your group to hire – Awa or Aorangi. We offer half, or full day, hire of the meeting rooms. Please see below for more details.
Half Day Hire
Our half day room hire includes:
- Morning or Afternoon Tea,

- Room Hire for 4 Hours (AM or PM)
Full Day Hire
Our full day hire includes:
- Morning or Afternoon Tea,

- Full Day Room Hire for 8 Hours

Awa Meeting Room
Awa is the smaller of our 2 meeting rooms. The Awa meeting room is in a separate block down by the river, next to the spa and riverside deluxe rooms. The room has bi-folding doors, which open out onto a deck overlooking the river.

Aorangi Meeting Room
Aorangi is the larger of our 2 meeting rooms. The Aorangi meeting room is upstairs, inside the main lodge building, with a great view out over the gardens and river.

Larger Groups
Hire of the Main Lodge
If our meeting rooms are too small for your group, then (depending on other bookings) we can hire out the main lodge instead. Please get in touch for availability, prices and more information.
You won’t need to worry about all the details
Our experienced and friendly staff will look after this for you. This leaves you free to do what you came to River Valley for.
Catering For Your Team
Our food and beverage staff will be delighted to work with you on the catering for your event. We major in farm-to-table meals, and believe in ‘real’ food that is sustainable and locally sourced. Most of our produce comes from our on site vegetable gardens, and we use fresh eggs from our chickens.
Our fully licensed bar and restaurant can seat up to 90 guests.
Accommodation Options
The range of accommodation styles available at River Valley, means that you can mix and match to suit your needs. We have a range of accommodation options to suit you and your budget – from luxury riverside ensuite rooms, to shared bunk rooms.
Add Some Adventure
While you are at River Valley we highly recommend you try one of our adventure activities. We have a range of rafting and horse riding adventures to suit everyone. Our adventure activities are great for team building.
First Aid Training
It can be challenging to find the time to do team building activities and then organise staff training on top. Here at River Valley we work closely with the crew at Peak Safety to deliver the most dynamic First Aid and Working at Height courses in the country.
The Awesome Grade 5 Rafting Package
Say a big thank you to your team with this adventure-filled package. Arrive at River Valley in time for morning tea, settle into your rooms and take a look around until lunch time, when you can enjoy antipasto platters.
Then, the good stuff – experience the thrill of white water rafting on the grade 5 section of the Rangitikei River. Return to the lodge in time to enjoy a well-earned 3 course meal, including a roast dinner with fresh vegetables straight from our garden. Then relax and have a cosy night in around the fire, having fun with your team over a beverage of your choice. The team can then stay an extra night in one of our Deluxe Ensuite Rooms (additional cost) and enjoy a buffet breakfast.
The Riverside Conference Package
Help your team get refocused and reenergised with this package. Arrive at River Valley in the evening for a delicious 3 course dinner, followed by fine wine and unwinding by the fire.
After a good night of rest in one of our Deluxe Guest Rooms (sleeps 2-3), relish in a buffet breakfast to start the day right. Utilise our riverside conference room for the morning to revise the team’s strategy and future direction. After your antipasto platter lunch, get the team out for a volleyball game or walk along the river
Finish with a tasty afternoon tea, bursting with friendly banter amongst team members. Leave home approximately 5pm.
